I most enjoy painting "life's moments".

If it’s a moment you would like me to capture then I will be overjoyed and excited. My subjects have included portraiture, still life and landscapes using mostly oils on canvas. It is my belief that oil paint is the most tactile of mediums and gives me the best opportunity to reflect movement, emotion and light.

I enjoy consulting closely with you either by visiting your space or remotely via video or phone. This is a free consultation, where we will discuss all elements of the painting (size, style, colours, composition and more). Plus we will take into consideration the style of the interior space.

I will cover all parts of our discussion in a commission contract which will be mutually agreed upon. On signing of the contract, a 50% deposit on the quotation will be required. Please note that the final quotation will include research and sample disbursements and all materials used, possible framing requirements, planning and extra time working to the agreed brief, viewing and possible revisions and delivery.

Send me your details and a little about your commission and I will be in touch:

  • Sleeping Beauty - Commissioned by Jane Rogers

Pippa and I have been friends since we were 8. Throughout school she was a gifted artist and it was ‘pre-ordained’ that she would follow her passion and become a highly successful and well regarded artist.

As my daughter-in-law, a principal ballerina with Joburg Ballet, was soon to retire I commissioned Pippa to paint her for me from a gloriously rich photograph taken to promote Sleeping Beauty. What a wonderful decision that turned out to be. I now have a work of art hanging on my wall which is perfectly proportioned and which faithfully captures the grace and fluidity of Shannon’s form. I love the colour palette Pippa has used and her artistic interpretation of the background setting gives the painting such gravitas. It really is a fitting tribute to Shannon and her exceptional career as a ballerina.

Pippa’s approach to the commission was entirely professional from start to finish. She was collaborative, ensuring we were both clear on expectations regarding the style, size and paint medium to be used and the end product certainly did not disappoint. On the contrary, her artistic interpretation and talent ensured it was a wonderful surprise. My 3-year old granddaughter immediately recognised her ‘Mummy’ in the painting and I am sure that one day it will hang in her own home in pride of place!

I highly recommend Pippa to anyone wishing to have a painting done of a favourite landscape, person (or pet) that you would like to immortalise forever.

  • George & Sophia - Commissioned by Margie Varney

This is for me a fabulous painting of my two grandchildren which hangs in my bedroom and fills my waking each day with a smile.

The photograph was taken on holiday and displays the joy and innocence of kids (captured on canvas for posterity).

  • Cow Dung Bay - Owned by James McWilliams

I have known Pippa since the 1990’s and it’s been so rewarding to watch her grow as an artist. She is extremely creative in everything she does and this is reflected in her art. When she mentioned some years ago that she was taking art lessons I was surprised as I believed she never needed any!

I saw this work in a gallery and was immediately drawn to it as I realized it could only be from Ntafufu which has to be one of Pippa’s favourite places embracing peace and tranquillity on this beautiful coast line. The colours in the landscape are striking with such contrast between the beach, sky, sea and green kopjes! I feel Pippa has nailed this by including the cattle roaming on the beach which creates a feeling of calmness and tranquillity where there is not a care in the world and tomorrow is another day!

So congratulations Pippa, this is such a wonderful piece of work and I am privileged to include it in my collection.
